Dwight D. Eisenhower's birthplace is a sensible two-story frame house with manicured bushes out front and a white fence. It lies within the larger framework of a pleasant park with a visitors center, a covered pavilion, and hiking trails; tours are available. The park is in the downtown area, across from Forest Park.
